bash-A v2
A practical guide to the LIET document retrieval and question-answering system.
bash-A v2 is an agentic retrieval-augmented assistant for Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET). It indexes institutional documents, retrieves relevant passages, and uses those passages to answer questions with citations.
The system follows one rule: an answer should be traceable to the source material that supports it. When evidence is insufficient, the assistant should say so.

What runs today
The application has a FastAPI backend, a Next.js frontend, PostgreSQL with pgvector, and a Neo4j graph store. Chat uses hybrid_rr by default. The project supports a shared demo token on selected administrative routes, but it does not provide user authentication or per-user access control.
Read Operations and limitations before exposing any service outside a trusted environment.
